Sexual Harassment Bestowed On Underage Children By Their Father.
"The problem of a country is not the violence of the bad ones but the silence of the good ones". - Abraham Lincoln.
It is so unfortunate that many Activists have gone dumb about the incident of a 12 year old girl who got raped by her father in Bayelsa State, Nigeria.
This is more or less a fatal news, Many of the Activists find so much interest in political matter for them to be politically recognised leaving the social ills and odds undone.
The numbers of female children who are victims of rape has increased tremendously over the couple of years yet nobody consider the next line of action to tackle this ridiculous and unforgiven activities in and out of our society.
As for me, the Ministries of Health and Women Affairs at the Federal, State and Local Government stand to be condemn forever. These victims of rape are too young as I consider them as 'parlour children'. They are cut hapless, hopeless and helpless figure yet no one thinks it worthy to fight for the right of the Children who were victimised by their Fathers.
Each year, billions of Naira is budgeted for social alleviation. It speaks volume of our culture of neglect and inhuman treatment to others.
As we celebrate Easter, lets spare a thought for these children who have been stripped bare of life.
Why do we neglect others ?, the streets are littered with lunatics calling themselves Fathers who find pleasure in abusing their female children because we neglect those who have been abused already.
"Kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see" - Mark Twain
Those Children needs mental treatment to help them cope with that unimaginable loss.
Spare a thought today. Happy Easter to all readers and God Bless Nigeria.
