ADEJUMO KABIR : NIGERIAN'S WHICH WAY ARE WE GOING?

I was extremely depressed on my way back from Ikeja Lagos yesterday, my throat kept asking for food and water but I was scared to give the throat food and water because of the "rise of dollar."

It is unfortunate that even Pure Water and Bread that remain the meal of the less privileged can no longer be eaten at their convenience. My Mother called me to get pap (ogi) on my way back home, I got to the pap dealer (iya ologi) who told me in Yoruba dialect "dollar ti won" in other word, there is rise in the value of dollar.

I quickly asked myself that WHICH WAY NIGERIA ?

Truth be told, it not a
matter of party in power, it is a problem that the previous administrators right from 1960 failed to attend to.

We don't have people like Herbart Macaulay, Bishop Ajayi Crowther and many more among us again, these people left a good name for their children to be proud of them.

If at all our rulers don't care about their names, they should consider the names their parents left behind. Nigerians cannot just stand the harassment we face in Abroad, once a Nigerian got to the whites embassy, the immigration officer gives you thorough searching, this embarrassment could not be challenged by our governments because of their corrupt practice.

Nigeria got her independence in 1st of October 1960 but we have not come this far to get this far. The Military rulers and the Civilian leaders bastardized our economy. I'm ashamed of all the previous leaders, do we need to appoint delegations from Ivory coast, Chana or Togo ???, God forbid that, we are known to be giant of Africa.

A "dirica" of rice is sold for N200, A paint of "garri" now sold for N300 or there about. Only the rich can afford to eat yam and egg on Sundays

Many Nigerians who cannot afford to buy coca cola, they all use JEDI JEDI as excuse. WHICH WAY NIGERIA ?

$1 dollar equals N400, Nigeria is known to be a nation of crude oil. One must be in doldrum to get petrol in Nigeria, if at all you are getting it that day. I won't be surprise if by noon of the day, petrol is sold for N500 per litre.

Our education system is in shambles, a secondary school graduate cannot speak fluent English, Teachers salary is stipend, poor welfare at the tertiary institutions, four years course becomes six years... Why won't we have cultist among us then ???

What about Medical centers, we are always short of injection and drugs, no electricity power to run surgery... We still have a long way to go.

Degree holders are Okada riders, from council level to federal, we have wrong representatives, the easiest way to riches in Nigeria is for one to be a leader of any arm of government even if the fellow don't have golf car,  he/she will be a multi billionaire before two weeks.
Money laundering to Switzerland.

When the less privileged suffers at the expense of the corrupt officials, you shall suffer when you get to heaven by the grace of GOD, ALLAH, OGUN, OBATALA AND SANGO.

It is better for our leaders to take responsibility now because the repercussion of not taking responsibility is inevitable.

History told me about Adolf Hitler  who believe so much in ammunition but died like a goat. We have GENERALS Nigeria who don't generate power for us, they don't generate water for general... WHICH WAY NIGERIA.

RESPECT TO SIKIRU AYINDE BARRISTER, FELA KUTI, ETC. You remain my source of inspiration.
