Akeredolu said Tinubu “lost has lost his place as a national leader of the party”

National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has come under more shade for his endorsement of an aspirant ahead of the coming gubernatorial Primaries by one of the leading candidates, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu.
Akeredolu said Tinubu “lhas lost his place as a national leader of the party”, shortly after the National Executive Committee of the Party, for the second time within a week, postponed the governorship primaries in the state till September 3.
Speaking on a radio programme in Akure titled “Heart of the Matter”, Akeredolu, who said he was never imposed on the party in 2012, said he regretted that Tinubu “has never kept his words”.
Meanwhile, Vanguard reports that the postponement of the primaries was as a result of the ongoing high-level politicking to douse the tension that has enveloped the party in the last two weeks over the endorsement of Dr Olusegun Abraham by Tinubu.
According to an unnamed source, Asiwaju is in consultation with many of the aspirants on the need to support Abraham to fly the flag of the Party in the November 26 governorship election.
Over 3000 delegates across the 18 council areas of the state are expected to elect one of the 25 aspirants contesting for the position.
