It was further reported that the video shows a number of 50 girls wearing headscarves behind one of the insurgents, who demands the release of other terrorists in return for the release of the girls.

The new video comes as the third in line showing the girls since they were captured under the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
More than two years ago, Boko Haram members kidnapped 276 girls from their school in the northern town of Chibok, of which 219 are believed to remain in captivity.
