Celtic Hold City in 6-Goal Thriller, Atleti Bury Bayern

In a late night Champions League classic at Parkhead, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City found themselves needing to thrice come from behind to secure a point against a plucky Celtic side midweek.
In-form Raheem Sterling netted at both ends as City dug deep for a 3-3 draw that not only see them lose their unbeaten start to the season, but fall two points behind Barcelona in Group C.

The Premier League side were favourites on paper, but went behind in the third minute when an Erik Sviatchenko header went in off Moussa Dembele.
Fernandinho levelled only for a Kieran Tierney cross to go in off Sterling and restore the Bhoys’ lead.
The irrepressible Sterling scored a scintillating goal at the other end to restore parity, but Dembele pounced on an Aleksandar Kolarov error to make it 3-2 moments after the restart.
However, Nolito got City’s third equaliser to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign as they look forward to a fascinating doubleheader against Barca on the next matchday.
Meanwhile, the Catalans (Barcelona), without injured talisman Lionel Messi, came from behind to win 2-1 at Borusia Moenchengladbach.
Theo Walcott was the star of the show as Arsenal continued their brilliant form with a 2-0 victory over Basle at the Emirates Stadium.
This result moves the Gunners level atop Group A alongside Paris Saint-Germain, who beat Ludogorets 3-1 in Bulgaria, with Edinson Cavani grabbing a brace.
Last season’s finalists Atletico Madrid edged Bayern Munich 1-0 in a Group D blockbuster at the Vicente Calderon to go three points clear ahead of their doubleheader with Rostov, who claimed their first ever Champions League point in a 2-2 draw with PSV Eindhoven in Russia.
Yannick Carrasco’s first half-strike separated the sides and inflicted Carlo Ancelotti’s first defeat as coach of the Bavarians after a 100 per cent start.
Italian side Napoli continued their excellent start to the season by beating Benfica 4-2 in Italy to move top of Group B, as Dynamo Kiev managed a 1-1 draw with Besiktas in Istanbul.
