The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, on Tuesday, said that his administration would establish emergency care centres across the state as part of the effort to strengthen the health sector.
Obaseki spoke during a meeting with the members of the Nigerian Medical Association in Benin, where he unveiled his programme for the health sector.
He explained that three care centres would be built in Okada, Ologbo, and Ehor communities which are located along the expressway.
He said the care centres would treat auto accident victims along the expressway, adding that this would save lives and reduce pressure on public hospitals.
He said, “The poor in Edo must enjoy free medical attention irrespective of where they come from. We are going to build and equip emergency care centres at strategic locations across the state, which will take care of accident victims.”
