Kenny Ogungbe: Dumped Raypower radio to Launch His Own Radio Station

Kenny Ogungbe has moved up the ladder from his days as a radio presenter on the Raymond Dokpesi-owned RayPower fm.
The record label executive who co-owns Kennis Music with Dayo Adeneye (D1) seems to have dumped his brother-in-law (Dokpesi) to launch his own radio station.
In 2012, Ogungbe was appointed the managing director of the radio division of his brother-in-laws’s conglomerate; consisting of eleven radio stations spread across the nation.
It is however unclear if he has left this position to focus on his own Kennis 104.1fm.
This appears to be a solo business venture on the part of the Kenny Ogungbe who until recently has maintained tight-knit personal and business relations with Dayo Adeneye – the commissioner of information for Ogun state.
The duo of Kenny and D1, who launched the careers of pioneer ‘new school’ Nigerian musicians like Plantashun Boiz, Remedies and Tubaba, Jaywon- to name a few, have been seen a lot less together in recent times.
Taking to social media to share the good news, the media guru shared an logo of his radio station, Kennis 104.1fm with a simple caption.

“Its Brand New Kennis 104FM To God Be The Glory,” he wrote.
Kenny Ogungbe came into the lives of Nigerians with the late night show AIT Jamz which aired on AIT in the late 1990s.
Asides the radio station, Ogungbe along with Dayo Adeneye also own a cable music station- Kennis Music.
Why did he stay so long before quiting?
