Mark Zuckerberg Meets President Buhari; Speaks at Aso Villa Day Finale


Mark Zuckerberg and President Muhammadu Buhari met today at the State House and the meeting was sealed with a selfie.
The Facebook founder who is back in Nigeria after a quick stop in Kenya donned a formal suit and tie for what appeared to be a brief sit down with President Buhari. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was also present for the meeting.

According to TechCabal, Zuckerberg is in Abuja to attend the Aso Villa Demo Day (AVDD) pitch finale.
Three startups from a shortlist of 30, Shuttlers NG, Tracology and RecyclePoints are expected to pitch their ideas to the President on this years’ Aso Villa Demo Day Finale.
The 7th richest man in the world came to Lagos unannounced on Tuesday, August 30, where he spoke and hung out with IT enthusiasts at the Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) in Sabo, Yaba.
During his first visit, he also revealed plans by Facebook to make internet available and affordable while speaking during a question and answer session with local developers in Lagos.

The father of one also managed to squeeze in some fun time. According to him, he crashed a hip hop set, enjoyed the Nigerian jollof rice and jogged on the Ikoyi Bridge.
