OLAMIDE Voiced out ,The Vultures Said I Stole Dagrin’s Style. I did not. I am Magic!’

Years after critics accused Olamide of stealing Dagrin’s style, the YBNL boss is finally responding to the criticisms that almost overshadowed his career.
“Everything the industry denied me of when I started are coming my way now,” the ‘Bobo’ rapper wrote on Instagram today. “The vultures in the industry tried to kill my shine, saying I stole Grin style. We all love Grin but that was a tough one to overcome, trust me.”

Now, he has written a very long note to his fans, noting that he isn’t swayed by awards or money; he loves music. For a long time Nigerian Twitter held polls and conversations about the similarities between Olamide’s kind of music and the late Dagrin’s. And in his 2015 interview with Vanguard, the YBNL boss, who has a penchant for dropping hot songs back to back, said the trials paved way for his success.
“I’m at peace with myself. I am happy, living my dreams, bringing my brothers up, repping my hood, my heritage, my culture,” he writes today, adding, “I am magic.”
