The former Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation,
Abdulmumin Jibrin, representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal constituency in Kano state.
A known intellectual persona with a PHD
in International Relations from the University of Abuja. He attended London
Business School, Harvard Business School, European Institute of Business
Administration, INSEAD, France. He also holds an MBA from Swiss Business
School, Zurich, Switzerland.
He has been embroiled in a corruption-allegation battle with the majority of the members of
the current 8th Assembly) House of Representatives for the most part
of the year. He recently said in an interview he granted ‘’…I am willing to go
to jail, if I am found wanting. Today, if I am arrested, prosecuted and
convicted while on my way to jail, I will still be exposing the crimes in the
House of Representatives…Those who have capacity for the work in the House of
Representatives today are not more than 20 percent. So, 80% of members don’t
have capacity…With all I have said since this whole thing started, I have not
touched 10 percent of the depth of corruption in the House of Representatives.
It is that bad…”
Though quite young, at the age of 40 years he has dared what
most older elected House members would rather romance with. The Citizenry of
the Nigerian republic celebrates Honourable Jibrin`s courage, he has proven to
be honourable.
Dear Mr. Jibrin; We are itching to hear the remaining ninety
percent!
