Kidnapped teachers and four students regains freedom


The two kidnapped teachers and four students of  Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in Epe, have been freed, The Nation reports.

They were abducted at about 8am from their school premises last Thursday.
Their abductor had initially demanded a N120 million ransom but later slashed it to N3.5 million.
Report said the kidnappers released them at about 10.30pm on Tuesday, October 11. But it was not confirmed if any ransom was paid.
The pupils – AbuEmmanuel OkonkwoJeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi – Vice Principal, Junior School, A.O Oyesola and English teacher, Lukman Oyerinde are all back with their families, it was learnt.
"I thank God for everything. My son has been released to us. He is in good health. God is wonderful," Oluwafemi Adebisi, a father of one of the victims was quoted to have said.
According to a police source, who confirmed their release to the newspaper, the kidnappers are still at large.
