YOBE INVESTS IN MASSIVE GRASS CULTIVATION FOR LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION




The Yobe Livestock Pilot Development Programme has begun training  local farmers on cultivation of the grasses for livestock production, in Yobe.


According to the Project Manager, Dr. Mustapha Gaidam, the programme has commenced with the introduction of Nappier, Centrosema and Stylothensis grasses as well as Lablab and Mucuna beans,”.
So far there has been creation of demonstration farms in the state to identify conducive areas for the growing of grasses.
