Crude oil has been discovered in Borno State, North East, enlisting the state in the league of oil producers.
Some states in the league are Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Lagos.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Dr. Jamila Shua’ra, confirmed the news at the recent presentation of the 2016 petroleum sector scorecard in Abuja.
Shua`ra added that the discovery of crude oil in Borno State was one of the landmark achievements of the ministry so far.
