In Cross River State, government workers across the state have condemned the early payment of their salary by Governor, Ben Ayade, which was payed on the first day of the month rather than the twenty-fifth day.
It was learn`t that the same incidence had played out earlier, in May 2016, when the Cross-River State government decided to pay workers salary earlier than usual in commemoration of the Workers’ Day celebration.
The workers complained that the move would eventually cause hardship for them as the festive season looms.
