Kano Pillars Basketball Club will face Al Ahly of Egypt in the semifinal of the ongoing 2016 FIBA Africa
Champions Cup in Cairo on Thursday.
Kano Pillars reached the semifinals when they beat Algerian side Groupement Sportif des Petroliers 91-81 on
Wednesday. Al Ahly got the better of Beac Basketball 63-60 in their
quarterfinal clash.
Al Ahly have only lost a match to Club Africain of Tunisia, so far in the championship.
Pillars will rely on the in-form
Abubakar Usman, who led for Pillars in the game against GSP. He
converted 34 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one block and five
steals.
