Ogun State Government claims it
has started payment of N12.5bn for the payment of arrears of
six-month workers’ salary deductions and two years of gratuities to
pensioners.
The gesture also included the balance of packages to former political appointees, who served with Otunba Gbenga Daniel, had also been
paid.
Also, The government added that political
appointees, who served during the first term of the Senator Ibikunle
Amosun’s administration (2011 to 2015), were paid.
The Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, reported the claim on wednesday Wednesday while briefing journalists in Abeokuta.
Adeoluwa stated that the government had
paid the December salaries of all categories of workers with December bonus for them.
