RESIDENTS DOCTORS TO GO ON STRIKE

The National Association of Resident Doctors has warned the Federal Government of its decision to embark on strike.
The Association issued a three-week strike notice which will lapse on Jan. 2, 2017.
The Public Relations Officer of the association, Dr Ugoeze Asinobi, said the doctors had aborted plans to go on strike three times in the last four months, saying it will hold this time around.
The Doctors are asking for a uniform template for the Residency Programme, more infrastructure for tertiary health facilities, proper grading of doctors and payment of outstanding salaries and several other things.
