SUPER EAGLES` UYO ENTITLEMENTS: SPORTS MINISTRY TO INVESTIGATE NFF



The  sports ministry has declared it will investigate the allegations  that  the Super Eagles players were not given  their  full win bonuses for beating Algeria 3-1 in their 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo last month.
However, NFF denied the via a statement on Wednesday, claiming they had an agreement with the players to be paid a flat sum of N1m each  for home wins,  the sports ministry Permanent Secretary Christian Ohaa  has said the allegations would  be investigated.
According to AfricanFootball.com,  Samson Siasia, who was the coach of the national team at the time NFF claimed they reached an  agreement with the Eagles to pay them N1m instead of$5,000 each for winning a game,   denied the  players  agreed to be paid N1m each  for a home win.
“I don’t know anything about N1m,”.
 “The agreement was that they will pay the equivalent of dollars at the bank rate, official rate. I don’t know about anything else.” Siasia was quoted saying.
