Kunle Afolayan was recently awarded the 'An 'Icon in the African Entertainment Industry' award in Houston.

The 2016 edition of event was hosted by Seyi Law, was also attended by Odunlade Adekola, Sunny Ade, among others.

According to Afolayan, he borrowed 50 million naira from Bank of Industry to produce the movie which premiered 30,000 feet into the air on June 1, 2016.
"The CEO" premiered in Nigeria on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
