About 30 armed Cattle thieves have made away with several cows, killing 5 people with several injured in Kaure, Shiroro Local Government of Niger State. Quite a number of villagers are reported missing.
It was learnt that the attack took place on Monday (October 31st, 2016) at about 3am in the morning. Senator David Umaru representing "Niger East" has condemned the attack calling it "barbaric and heinous". He implored Security agencies to respond swiftly. Also, the Local Government Chairman of the Shiroro community described the crime as "inhumane and devastating".
The Police Public Relations Officer of Niger State Police Command "Bala Elkana" confirmed the attack, he said the Police was on an intensive search for the culprits. According to him "No arrest has been yet".
