On saturday, the maiden edition of the Supremacy Concert kicked off at the Eko Atlantic in Lagos, the Independence Day.
Legendary singer King Sunny Ade, 2baba Idibia and Asa, among other line up of acts, headlined the concert.
According to Tribune, the concert is a 7-day event organised by the Made-in-Nigeria Festival, and will feature Nigerian iconic stars.
For the event yesterday, King Sunny Ade opened the night and the 70-year-old legend didn’t look a day older than 40 as he rocked the stage with his classics.
Following that was 2baba Idibia, the household name, who ushered in the crop of new acts currently taking Nigerian songs across the border. And then came Nigeria’s top female act, Asa.
Recall that the Asa’s live concert held in Lagos last May set a record-breaking standard and remained the top trending conversation on social media for a while.
With the trio opening the night on Independence Day, it was the palliative many people needed to forget the stifling economic conditions.
