MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE: NIGERIA WILL SOON BECOME EXPORTER OF HIGH QUALITY RICE

The Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh while on a tour of rice farms in Auyo Local Government Area of Jigawa State in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, on Friday said Nigeria will soon begin to export quality rice.

According to Ogbeh, the Local Government Area "Auyo" is one of the 27 LGAs in Jigawa, making efforts on rice plantation,indicating hope for the resuscitation of Rice production in Nigeria.

Also at the event was the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Rice and Wheat Production, also Kebbi state Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, and Jigawa State Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
