A Catholic Church, St. Sylvester Catholic Church, New Nyanya in Karu Local Government Area
of Nasarawa State has joined 80 couples on Saturday.
The Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Mathew Audu, officiated the joining. It was learnt that the union of 80 couples was
the first in the history of the church.
The ceremony and
the Sacrament of Confirmation organized by the
church, was made under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Lawrence Anyembugu.
This development is expected to motivated more mass joining of couples in the state.
