Gabrielle Carle put Canada in the lead at Bava Park at 15 minutes. Chinaza Uchendu did the magic, equalising with a penalty. In the half Joy Bokiri and Chinwendu Ihezuo helped the Falconets cement the first victory in the competition.
The Falconets were thrashed 6-0 by Japan at the Bava Park, Port Moresby, just a few days ago.
Nigeria will play against Spain next, on November 20.
