IMF BOSS, CHRISTINE LAGARDE, CONVICTED OF FRAUD IN FRANCE

According to a New York Times Report, IMF, Managing Director, Miss Christine Lagarde, was found guilty on Monday of criminal charges linked to the misuse of public funds during her time as France’s Finance minister.
This development is likely to add to the debate over the Fund’s role as international elites and their institutions face growing populist criticism.
The IMF has started considering available alternatives, adding that it could seek Lagarde’s resignation immediately, or she could volunteer to resign.
