President, Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria has condemned killings of Southern Kaduna residents by herdsmen, blaming the attacks on weak governance.
- Ekhomu advised
government at all levels to beef up security in rural areas.
The security situation in Southern Kaduna and the constant shedding
of blood there denotes weak governance at all levels. This calls for a
redesign of the security architecture of rural communities. The Federal
Government should meet its part of the social contract by keeping
citizens safe. Government at all levels should employ advanced risk
mapping tools in order to obtain fore-knowledge of risks and be able to
mitigate them,” he said.
